Spanish class with Elementary School

Hello, everybody!
Today was not such a busy day, but we could still do many things. My first class was Ceramics, when Leticia and I finished to shape our bowls and did some paintings on shaped bowls.
After that, we had an activity with the Elementary students. They were on Spanish class, so besides teaching them aspects of the Brazilian culture, we showed them the similarities between Portuguese and Spanish language. Firstly, they presented a song in Spanish for us. Then, it was our time to sing with them songs from our childhood (in Portuguese, of course). We sang "fui na Espanha comprar meu chapeu" (with choregraphy), "um, dois, feijao com arroz" (so that we could mention some of our tipycal dishes) and also "parabens para voce". After that, we had a question-and-answer moment, and the students did had a bunch of doubts. They are really polite and participative. We are so glad to have had the opportunity to spend some time with them!
However, I finish this post focusing of our chemistry class, when we mentioned Brazil as a reference of the usage of renewable energy and as independent to fossil fuels if compared to other countries. Thus, here goes a message for all the Brazilians who read this blog: be proud of the country we came from.
Brasil is special. It is unique. I miss it a lot...

Gabi
